Lady M Crepe Cakes

Over the summer, there were two new cafes that opened up…one at the IFC Mall in Central and one at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui.  The only thing I knew about this cafe is that people lined up to get a seat…and anywhere in HK where there is a queue is probably going to be an awesome spot to eat at.

Lady M (Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui Location) Info:

It's quite easy to find.  It's in Ocean Terminal.  When you first walk into Ocean Terminal, there is an information desk.  They can direct you straight to Lady M, which is just a one minute walk from their desk.

*I really doubt you can make reservations for seats.

Hours
Sundays - Thursdays they open from 10 am until 9 pm
Fridays and Saturdays they open from 10 am until 10 pm

We got there maybe around 2:30 or 3 pm for the afternoon tea hour and the wait wasn't that bad.  I think it was around 10 minutes.  And they let one party in at a time because you have to order at the counter, get a number, get a seat, and then wait for your cakes and beverages to be brought to you.  It's a nice system that makes waiting in line feel not so bad…because who likes to be pushed around in a crowded cafe…NOT I!

The cool thing is…if you are not in the mood for dining in and waiting in line, there is the option of just picking up a cake or two on the other side of the counter.  So, there is a separate line that you can queue up in to select some cakes to take away.

Lady M is a cafe that was originally opened in New York.  It is famous for their crepe cakes…in particular, the Signature Mille-Crepes Cake.

Check out the website for more info on what the cafe offers.  There is also an option to order online!

We got one of my favorite flavors:  Earl Grey.  This was a slice of the Earl Grey Mille Crepe.  This was so moist and so delicious.  It wasn't too sweet and the flavor of the Earl Grey was so delicious.  I really enjoyed digging into this slice.  I would have it again…and probably will when my parents come to visit in a few weeks.  This was perfect…and would be perfect with a hot cup of tea on the side too.

Because I always feel like I have to try a place's signature dish, we also ordered the Signature
Mille Crepe Cake slice.  This was really nice…not too sweet…moist as well…and just lovely.  If I was in the mood for something not as extravagant as the tad-bit-sweeter Earl Grey crepe, I would go with this classic.  It was a really nice slice to start off with.

The third slice we got was the Lady M Green Tea Mille Crepe, which my friend told me was highly recommended by a lot of people online.  I'm quite the fan of the Japanese matcha flavor (Matcha Kit Kat anyone!), so this was a really nice slice to try with the original Signature crepe cake and also the Earl Grey!  It had that lovely matcha flavor.  It was also quite moist and not too sweet.

I was actually on quite the sugar high after delving into these crepes that we walked around to try to burn off some of those calories.  An interesting find, by the way, which I had never really noticed before…

Bruce Lee's Childhood School!!!!!

So, we were walking along Austin Road and bam.  There it was.

Who knew that this could be such a historical spot…

Who knew that a school could use it as advertising too…

…another log about some interesting and amazing finds around Hong Kong!
